Homesite 14 is named after the 'Gallinazo' tree. Gallinazo grow fast and tall. They have noticeable purple-blue flowers. They are commonly found in secondary forests and do best in low, humid climates. Its wood was at one time exported to the US.

The municipality of San Miguel is now building a sidewalk from the coastal road to the beach. The ride to the beach is quick. Once at the beach, visitors enjoy 3 restaurants and 2 small affordable hotels. The beach is seven miles long and crystal clean. The surf is excellent for more accomplished surfers. Surfers are encouraged to talk to the locals to pinpoint areas of rip tides. A "lights down" law restricts beach lights that disturb sea turtles. 30 feet to the South of the lots is the Eco-hotel which has 6 individual cabanas and a large swimming pool. Angelo, the owner is from Italy and has a small patio restaurant seating 30 people.
