Homesite 14 is named after the 'Gallinazo' tree. Gallinazo grow fast and tall. They have noticeable purple-blue flowers. They are commonly found in secondary forests and do best in low, humid climates. Its wood was at one time exported to the US.

Gallinazo is 1.47 acres. The property is 70% wooded with a small building platform and an expansive ocean view. The building platform is larger than the area for building on site 13. Standing in the center of the building area the view is wide open.

Gallinazo is about the wildlife grazing in the fields below, sounds of the jungle and the smell of the ocean. Owners of San Miguel by the Sea contracted an architect and builder to estimate the price of a 1600 sq ft ocean view villa. The design incorporated tempered glass for ocean facing walls, 2 bedrooms, 2 bath with a swimming pool and hot tub on the patio. The quote came in at $203,000 with a carport--ready to move in. Site 14 overlooks lot 10 to the ocean beyond.

    San Miguel Beach
The municipality of San Miguel is now building a sidewalk from the coastal road to the beach. The ride to the beach is quick. Once at the beach, visitors enjoy 3 restaurants and 2 small affordable hotels. The beach is seven miles long and crystal clean. The surf is excellent for more accomplished surfers. Surfers are encouraged to talk to the locals to pinpoint areas of rip tides. A "lights down" law restricts beach lights that disturb sea turtles. During the busiest seasons there are as few as 30 - 40 people on the beach. This is paradise on earth! More...
